Seemed calm to me.
Of course I'm having a hard time grasping the concept of needing a license to have a tv in your home. (shaking head)

Tina:
The TV Tax, or License Fee (as the BBC like to call it!, is to provide the BBC with funds since they are not allowed to carry advertising.

At one time we needed a license for Radio!

School boy error there... you gave them your name. The next time you receive one of their threatening letters you can expect the personal touch.

Incidentally the next letter you receive will be along the lines of: "Thank you for telling us you don't require a TV licence. Unfortunately we don't believe you so we're going to send someone around to check anyway."

Peter:
Not such an error. They already have my name and address. They sent me a really nice letter last month acknowledging a previous letter of mine.

It's more the lack of competence on their part.

I know they will NOT make an appointment to visit, but I equally know, even though I have nothing to hide, I will not allow them access to my home without a fight!
