Still using nicotine patches. Today is the last day of the 21mg patch. Next four weeks will be 14mg.
Had a really exciting day today. Woke up at 5am, pulled covers over me and went back to sleep. Woke again at 11am. Got out of bed, showered and dressed and opened the curtains. Blue sky and sunshine, Yeah!! I can get my grass cut.
Went out to get the mower from the shed. Had to take the folding table and bench set out first. Big mistake!! Set it up on the patio and it looked so lonesome with nobody sitting there, so......went to fridge and took out a couple bottles of beer. Yep, I sat there in the sun, drinking beer, watching the birds arriving at the fly thru diner, and watching the grass grow!
Finished the beer, went back to the fridge and took six bottles out. Sat and watched birds again. Looked at grass, thought it needs cutting, drank some more beer.
I.NEED.A.SMOKE!!!
No, I am not giving in. I'm gonna beat the smoking habit if it's the last thing I do.
Back into house, take a steak from freezer. Should be ok with some roast potatoes and some veggies. Sort out a bottle of wine to accompany it. A nice Bordeaux, 2007.
Bored!!! Decide to have a nap. Woke up 3 hrs later, had a glass of wine. Cooked and ate dinner, sat down at computer.
Found an internet radio station playing songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's. took me back to my childhood.
Big Boppa with Chantilly Lace; Elvis, Jailhouse Rock; Brenda Lee, All Alone am I, etc.
Now it's almost time for bed. What an exciting day!!!!
What a perfect day....and I'm VERY impressed and proud of you on the not smoking thing! That's huge!
