No Smoking

Since my flight to LA via Chicago involved around 14hrs of non-smoking travel, I bought a pack of nicotine patches for the flight.

On unpacking on my arrival I found that I had left my pipe and tobacco at home.

Since I only smoke a pipe I decided that I would continue with the patches. These worked well for my vacation and also for the flight home.

Since arriving home I have bought more patches, and am now in my second week without smoking.

Hopefully, I can continue with the patches, decreasing the amount of nicotine they contain until I no longer have the craving for a smoke.

It will take around 3 months to finally be rid of the patches and will take one heck of a lot of willpower as well, but I think I can do it. We'll just have to wait and see.

Let's hope this is a permanent smoke free zone!!

New Album

"Yosemite" album is now updated.

Sorry Peeps....

...I was dragged kicking and screeming to the pub by Nephew, so I haven't been able to add photos to albums.

I promise I will add "Yosemite" photos tomorrow.  You have my word on that!!

Just in case you haven't noticed, I have put some photos in the album on the left sidebar marked "California". It is not complete as yet but I am still working on it.

After it is complete there will be another marked "Yosemite".  This one may take a little time since there are a heck of a lot of photos to upload and caption.  Please bear with me, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Now I'm gonna finish my second bottle of wine.

Back to reality

Well, my vacation has ended and I am home again. The best part?  A trip to Yosemite with Tammi and Joe, followed by dinner and a beer!!  I just wish we could have had a bit longer together.

As for Tammi's driving...well...I gotta tell ya......I never felt so relaxed.

Now I guess I should post a couple of piccys.....

Guess that'll have to do for now, I'll make a new album on the sidebar and put them all in there, probably tomorrow.

I'm all packed up and almost ready for the drive to the airport.

Next stop Chicago then swap planes and head for LA where I shall be spending the next few days.

Just in case.......

....I don't have time to post tomorrow morning.

I'm in the middle of "Last Minute Packing".  I leave for the airport at 08:30ish!  Which means I have to be out of bed, showered and dressed by 06:00 in order to cook my full English breakfast.

I'm flying with American Airways (cheapest deal), not a favourite airline, I found Delta much better!!

I have to change at Chicago with a 2hr wait for my connection to LA, where I arrive at around17:25 local time.

They won't even let me open the windows on the plane so I can have a smoke!!!!!

Last time I flew via Chicago I had a 4hr wait for my connection and had to go outside the airport for a smoke. That is a long walk!!!

So, Thursday morning I shall awaken to the delights of LA.

Yep!  It's just over a week before I climb aboard that big silver bird bound for LA.

I need to do some urgent work on my garden to ensure that it isn't a jungle when I get back.

I am hoping to harvest my Damsons before I leave, although it will be touch and go since they are only just starting to get their colour!

We haven't had a great deal of sun recently, but we've had plenty of rain!

I've already cut back my butterfly bush so that is one less chore, however, the grass needs cutting and unless we have some dry days I don't think it will be done.

Right, now for my vacation packing list.......

Socks

Undies.
